Oh dear. Why does that not surprise me? I wonder what exactly this idiot heard by symposium? I wonder if he ever experienced the difficulty and struggle of constant touring, on little or no money, not either being signed or never getting a hit, like a lot of the 'indie' bands I loved in the 90's. I expect not.

It's the same when anything becomes popular; record labels or radio stations race to sign/play another hundred bands that sound exactly the same. There was a lot of crap in the 90s but most of the bands Williams mentioned were pretty good, if not always to my tastes (like Geneva). The mid 2000s was far worse than the mid-late 90s! I also wonder how he's heard of and remembers so many of these bands if he didn't like them...

Maybe it's because those bands slagged him off back in the day, and he's having a delayed rant?
There always is a lot of crap bands out there, but there's also always a small selection of very good bands every decade. But in my opinion, mid-late 90's stuff was way better than what's around now.
